TikTok expected to receive $23 billion in 2024, an increase of more than 40 per cent over the same period

The report released on Wednesday by the data analysis agency revealed that TikTok, a short video social platform, continued to burn off in overseas markets and was well received by young users. Revenues are expected to reach $23 billion throughout 2024, an increase of more than 40 per cent over the same year, with advertising contributing nearly 80 per cent of revenues, with the remainder coming from electricians and in-service purchases.

The 1.16 billion months of active users of TikTok reflect its global appeal, especially among young people. The report indicates that users aged 18-34 account for nearly 60 per cent of the TikTok user group and that there has been a significant increase in the time spent on short videos, participation challenges and interactive content on the platform. Data from May 2025 show that TikTok has experienced a particularly strong growth in users in the United States, Europe and South-East Asian markets, with users in South-East Asia growing by about 5 per cent over the same period.

TikTok ‘ s success has benefited from its precise recommended algorithms and diversified content ecology. The content forms of music, dance, funny video and life-sharing attract users from different cultural backgrounds. In addition, TikTok continues to introduce new features, such as live interactive and short video electric operators, to further enhance user viscosity. Despite data privacy and content regulation challenges in some countries, TikTok maintained its growth momentum through localized operations and compliance measures.

TikTok Shop has been prominent in South-East Asia and the United Kingdom markets, with a 60 per cent increase in the number of electric operators ‘ transactions in 2024, through live feed and short video. In-service purchases, such as virtual gifts and subscription services, contribute significant income to the live broadcast function. The report predicts that in 2025 the share of electricity producers in TikTok may increase from the current 10 per cent to 15 per cent, further diversifying its income structure.

Looking ahead to 2025, TikTok is expected to continue to grow in both user and revenue. The report predicts that its global monthly active users could reach 1.2 billion in 2026, and that the electricity business will become a new engine of growth.
